UNDERSTANDING WHEN GOD IS WORKING AND WHEN HE’S NOT

JOHN 10:10-11 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

Jesus makes things very clear as to His workings and heart for people. He is not the thief killing, stealing, and destroying.

He is the good shepherd who gives His life for His sheep and wants them to have an abundant life.

Even a shepherd today, who is the owner of his sheep, does not want them harmed or destroyed. And Jesus is a far better, far more caring, shepherd.

So, when you see harm and destruction. When you see your peace being stolen or your health destroyed. When you see death and havoc being worked in people’s lives don’t look for Jesus, look for His enemy and yours, Satan.

APPLICATION

It’s important to know who is at work in your life. Often when bad things happen people start to blame God. If you believe God is behind the death, stealing, and destruction you most likely will not resist with much effort.

But when you know your good Shepherd, who loves you and gave His life for you is not wreaking havoc in your life you won’t stand for the work of the thief.

God is not the thief, Satan is. And Jesus is not your problem. He’s the best thing that ever happened to humanity.

PRAYER

Dear Lord, I know You are not working death and destruction in my life or in the life of my family. You are my good Shepherd and I believe You have my best interest in mind. Thank you for giving Your life that I might have life and have it abundantly.
