1 JOHN 5:3-5 NKJV
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

There is more to us than meets the eye. Spiritually speaking, there is more going for us than our limited natural traits. These verses give insight into who we actually are.
John writes that the true love of God is more than words. A true love is that we keep His commandments. And before any objection arises that keeping God's commandment is too difficult, John tells us that this is not beyond our grasp. His commandments are not a burden. Not too heavy a load for us to handle.
And John tells us why we can do what God asks of us. Because we are born of God. That is an amazing statement. Jesus said we must be born again, and He was not speaking figuratively. There is a spiritual rebirth whenever anyone receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Born of God means we are well born into a strong family.
Whoever is born of God overcomes the world. The spiritual life in us is stronger than the death and darkness that is in the world's system. We are born again and overcomers.
Immediately the question comes to mind. Why am I not seeing more victory as this well born overcomer? And John offers the answer. The victory is connected to our faith.
Faith was required to receive Jesus and become a new creation in Him. But we do not stop there. Faith is how we continue our relationship with God and how we live our lives.
By faith, we believe we are new in Christ. By faith, we live for and serve God. By faith, we overcome the fear, despair, and darkness around us. By faith, we keep our flesh under control. By faith, we live differently because we are different.
Those that believe overcome. That's how we came into the Kingdom of God and how we'll continue our lives here in this earth.

What changes could you make if you knew you would be successful? As a born winner, an overcomer in Christ, you have the capacity to make those changes. You are destined to overcome, so accept it and start making steps.

Thank You, Father. I am born of You, and I overcome the world and everything it throws at me.
