HOME IMPROVEMENT

Proverbs 17:1 NKJ Better is a dry morsel with quietness, Than a house full of feasting with strife.

A short but sweet proverb that underscores what makes a home environment good.

It’s not the food; it’s the atmosphere. You can have a beautiful home, but if it’s filled with strife and fighting, the beauty means nothing.

A sandwich with peace is better than a steak with strife.

APPLICATION

The best way to fix up a home is by changing the atmosphere and getting rid of strife is the best place to start.

In verse 17 of this chapter, there is instruction on how to get the strife out – stop it before it begins.

It’s great to have a beautiful home. But it’s even better to have a beautiful atmosphere where there is love, laughter and most of all peace.

PRAYER

Lord, help me to do my part to stop strife in my circle of influence. I purpose to sow seeds of love and peace and stop strife before it starts.
