Looking For Treasure

6 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; 7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
Proverbs 2:6-7 NKJV

This passage indicates who receives wisdom from the Lord. The Lord is totally fair and is a rewarder of those who seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Those who receive His wisdom is directly related to how they pursued His wisdom. And His wisdom is contained in His word.

Receive, treasure, apply, seek, search as for treasure – all these are action words that reveal a heart that values and pursues God’s wisdom.

I like the promise of verses six and seven that the Lord gives wisdom. In fact, He stores it up for His own.

APPLICATION:

Begin to renew or stir up a desire to find God’s wisdom for your life.

What small change can you make to intensify your search for God’s wisdom?

Five or ten minutes a day extra can produce some great results. Reading, thinking about, speaking, memorizing is treasure hunting.
